For an eight hour day, I continuously screen printed a wordcloud composed from the discussion abstracts presented at the Digital Labor conference “The Internet as Playground and Factory”. (www.digitallabor.org)
The performance was streamed live to this blog (www.somewheresomething.tumblr.com) where viewers were encouraged to leave feedback.
Using popular web 2.0 platforms to stream physical labour, I hope to explore the ways in which our own leisurely online activity contributes to an invisible form of social labor.
